A groundbreaking study published by Frisardi and colleagues in “European Geriatric Medicine” shines a spotlight on the dual challenges posed by MCI and hematologic cancer in older adults. One of the important findings of the study indicated that older adults often felt isolated when dealing with both MCI and hematologic cancer diagnoses. The psychological toll of their situation was exacerbated by a lack of communication between various healthcare providers, resulting in fragmented care.
