The early signs of dementia can often be overlooked or mistaken for other conditions, a concerning fact given that it's estimated around one million Brits are currently living with the disease. This figure is projected to rise to 1.4 million within the next 20 years. While there is currently no known cure for dementia, understanding the disease and receiving an accurate diagnosis can greatly improve a patient's quality of life. A correct diagnosis also opens up a range of support options and access to a care plan that provides comprehensive information about the condition, strategies for managing it, and potential access to a care home if necessary.
