Chloe’s story: You don't have to do it alone as a young carer

Mum was my best friend. Not many people are lucky enough to say that. But for me, it was so true. She was a teaching assistant at my primary school, so we would walk to and from school together each day and chat about anything and everything. These are some of my fondest memories. Mum was everyone’s favourite teacher. At the start of each school year, people would frantically look to see if they had Mrs Lambert as their teaching assistant. If they did, it was going to be a good year ahead. She was bubbly, expressive, and the kindest soul you’d ever meet.
