A Smart App to Slow Cognitive Decline in Older People

Researchers at Texas A&M University in the United States have announced that they have created a smart app that offers cognitive and mental exercises that have been proven to slow cognitive decline in older people. A study they conducted found that older adults can delay or even prevent cognitive decline through interventions that include multiple activities, such as improving diet, solving puzzles, and increasing social interactions, according to findings the team published Thursday in the journal Public Health in Practice. The exercises in the app included daily goal setting, personalized cognitive exercises, and tracking of diet, physical activity, and sleep habits.
