KERI and ETRI Develop Wearable AI to Screen MCI

Keri and Etri’s neckband system shows 85% accuracy in screening older Koreans for early cognitive decline. Researchers at Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) wear a wearable device and use “AI-based speech and EEG analysis technology” to conduct a screening test for mild cognitive impairment /Courtesy of Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI). Speech and brainwave data collected by the device are stored in real time in the cloud, and multimodal AI technology determines whether someone is in a high-risk group for mild cognitive impairment.
