A professor at TaiwanTech’s Graduate Institute of Biomedical Engineering has led a team to develop an AI-powered wearable device that can predict risks for 25 chronic diseases and cancers. Currently, the device has demonstrated accuracy rates ranging from 71% to 92%, according to a TaiwanTech press release. The team plans to develop comprehensive assessments covering cardiometabolic health, cognitive health, and cancer treatment efficacy, combined with lifestyle analyses such as diet and exercise, to improve early disease detection.
