The University of Florida’s ‘AI Queen’ is using AI technology to help prevent dementia

To help the 50 million people globally who live with dementia, the National Institute on Aging is finding researchers to develop tech-based breakthroughs that target the disease, researchers like the University of Florida’s “AI Queen.” Dr. Aprinda Indahlastari Queen is a fitting nickname for Aprinda Indahlastari Queen, Ph.D., who is applying artificial intelligence technology to study transcranial direct current stimulation, or tDCS — a technique that involves placing electrodes on the scalp to deliver a weak electrical current to the brain — as a possible way to prevent dementia.
